Canada Greener Homes Grant
As of March 2024, the Canada Greener Homes grant program will no longer accept new applicants. The grant program, initially intended to span seven years, has proven so popular that the money is being used up at a faster rate than expected.
It's been suggested that the Greener Homes grant program could soon return with revised eligibility criteria, upon its relaunch, the program may offer more generous grants and could potentially remove the need for applicants to pay upfront.

The Canadian Government wants to help Canadians make where they live more energy-efficient. This means homes will be more comfortable and more affordable to maintain while also supporting environmental objectives.
The Canada Greener Homes Grant allows homeowners to increase their home insulation. The process starts when an energy advisor comes to assess your ‘house as a system’ to determine what upgrades will provide the best return on investment and the greatest increase in comfort level. This directs how best to make use of the grant. Homeowners will need to apply in advance before having any work done.
